4 and half weeks after cross linking

So it’s about 4 odd weeks after my surgery, and I’m having problems with my eyes, but know it’s not to do with the surgery. It’s summer here in the UK and Hayfever hits me hard and has always affected my eyes the most. My eyes are so dry and itchy. But luckily a bit of eye drops can fix that. Just very annoying.
Other than that, I feel great.

Couple weeks ago I received a letter from my hospital talking about the next steps of my other surgery. They have concluded that scleral lens won’t work and only gives me up to 60% of my vision, so they want to go ahead with a ‘deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty’ procedure which I will link a video below of the op itself. Will contain scenes which may upset some people:

That is all I have to update. I have a post op check up in the next couple weeks, so will be updating everyone on if the cross linking went well.

3 weeks (and one day) after Cross-Linking surgery.

It’s been three weeks and one day since my cross linking, and vision is getting noticeably worse. But have been informed by my surgeon that this is normal and vision does get worse before being better. It’s all about waiting now for my next appointment to see what they say.

I have no pain whatsoever in my right eye, but left eye (which has severe Keratoconus) is getting worse and more halos are appearing, and getting more drier and more itchier. But resisting the urge to rub and scratch it.

I feel great, and will post more content when my next doctors appointment is up, which is in the middle of next month.
